Now that there has been approval to use animal models, researchers will have to find a source of radioisotopes to attach to their molecules to be used for PET scans.

A new facility on campus now supplies the radioisotopes for University of Saskatchewan researchers.  The Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences is a state-of-the-art facility that supplies all PET scan radioisotopes, eliminating the need to obtain isotopes from other provinces. See what Shannon Colbert's career entails at this facility.
